Welcome Message

Dear visitors,

On behalf of the Management and staff of the Rwanda Union Mission (RUM), I am delighted to welcome you to our official website and I greet you in the name of our Saviour Jesus Christ.

The Rwanda Union Mission is one of the entities of the East Central Africa Division. It covers the whole territory of Rwanda, a country of a thousand hills.

The mission of God’s people in the Seventh-day Adventist Church being mainly to spread the Gospel message of the soon coming of Christ as recorded in Matthew 28:19; considering the resurrection of Rwanda from the tragic genocide against Tutsis that befell the nation in 1994; we praise the Most High for a stone that He is laying for the reconstruction of His church.

A church that is the best assured setting of recovering wounds and restoration of people of mind in the turmoil of this unset world.

Rwanda Union Mission believes that our church is the universal one, one family and one body. In this regard, we urge Ministers of God across the world to plan to come and share the world of God to the estimated 11 million people of Rwanda.

Join Rwanda wherever you are in a beautiful symphony of the following piece:

“Hark! The voice of Jesus calling,
Who will go and work today?’
Fields are white, the harvest waiting
Who will bear the sheaves away?

Loud and long the Master calleth,
Rich reward He offers free;
Who will answer gladly saying,
‘Here am I, o Lord, send me”?”

“… While the souls of men are dying,
And the Master calls for you,
Let none hear you idly saying,
‘There is nothing I can do!’

Gladly take the tast He gives you,
Let his work your pleasure be,
Answer quickly when He calleth,
Here am I, o Lord send me.”

This website will provide you with up-to-date information about mission in Rwanda,in particular, and in the whole world, in general.  Remember that no one is a spectator in God’s mission.

May the Almighty God bless you richly.

Pr Dr Hesron Byilingiro,

President of Rwanda Union Mission
